Attention:   Storage Tank Owners
Could your storage tanks have:
        Vents not seating properly?
        Vents opening prematurely?
        Improperly set inerting valves?
If so, you could be losing the nitrogen pad from the top of your storage tanks... or you might have unknown VOC leaks!

Our service can help you:
         Identify these problem areas.
         Reduce air emissions.
Save dollars by reducing nitrogen waste.

PURGIT can test your tank while it is in service, without disturbing your operation. PURGIT has equipment for short or long term storage tank testing. We can monitor pressure cycles, temperature cycles, pump cycles, flow rates, etc.. In fact, we can monitor a signal from any 4 - 20 mA transmitter. If you do not have a 4 - 20 mA signal we have transmitters and can arrange that for you.

Monitoring is done with battery powered equipment. Data points can be logged as frequently as once a second to once a day. On a recent job at a Houston area tank farm data was collected approximately every 4 minutes for a month (thousands of data points). Other equipment can log the flow of gas through a pipeline. You can log the actual flow of gas through vapor lines. Check detonation arresters to see if they are open, find pipeline restrictions, etc. ...  Confirm manufacturers' flow claims.

Here is a section of the report for tank farm data. It shows a lot of activity during the night time. If the valves were cleaned up, the 'static' would disappear and there would be a single line in its place.

Here is a sample pressure / flow chart
