PURGIT® offers several
services to pipeline, tank and
barge
operators.
DOT Pipeline
Case history: Furnished flare, vapor blower, knockout tank, vaporizer
and other equipment to burn iso butane from a pipeline prior to
maintenance. The vapor blower pulled a vacuum on
17 miles of underground pipe to encourage the butane to volatilize.
Burned butane in the PURGIT®
flare and assisted with nitrogen purging.
Hank Hilliard is OQ
by NCCER for Abnormal Operating Conditions - General Pipeline as well
as other modules.
Ground
well gas separator and flare system Case history:
Collecting solvent from a pipeline break. A remediation engineer
designed and installed 14 shallow wells
(about 10' to 20' deep). PURGIT®
built a vacuum unit to suck the liquid
that
accumulated in the ground wells. The liquid is sent to the facility
water
treatment system and the vapor is sent to a flare that PURGIT®
installed.
Louisiana
permitPURGIT®
has a permit for
emissions from
its devices
when they are used in Louisiana. Call or send a note for a list of
products.
Tank
vapor
control PURGIT®
has
cryogenic condensers and flares for vapor control. Also on hand are
high
performance blowers, detonation arresters and turbine meters. Gasoline,
vinyl acetate, acetone, hexane, crude butadiene, propylene and ammonia
are among the products controlled by PURGIT equipment.
Tank inerting
Using inert
gas, PURGIT® can flood an
enclosed space with carbon dioxide or nitrogen to
reduce the oxygen. This permits hot work on the outside of a vessel
without
the necessity of internal cleaning. Cost for hotwork repairs can be
reduced
and out of service time shortened.
Tank testing
PURGIT®
puts a
certain volume of inert gas in a tank for a leakage test. By logging
pressure
over a span of time, a vapor tight condition can be documented.
Ship and tank
conditioning
The
tank is purged with inert gas to the customer specification, then the
inert gas is displaced with the cargo to be carried. This technique
insures
product integrity and loading safety. PURGIT®
can furnish the inert gas
and the vapor control devices if they are necessary.
