Intrinsically safe vapor compressor / recovery unit

Compressor system for recovery and condensing of VOC vapors
from tanks, pipelines, rail cars or tank trucks.

PURGIT has assembled a mobile trailer mounted system that has these features:

  • Intrinsically safe – no electricity or combustion – all motors are powered by compressed air
  • Compressor suitable for butane, propane or ammonia (ammonia requires special adaptation)
  • Knock out tank 1,000 gallon size for primary separation of liquids and vapors
  • Knock out tank 230 gallon size for additional separation / buffer
  • Positive displacement liquid transfer pump – 2” pipe size with sight glass
  • Lobe type vapor blower to boost suction pressure to the compressor and/or pull partial pressure on pipeline

Uses and Applications:

  • Vapor control and recovery of gases in pipelines, pig traps, tank cars, truck tanks, pressurized vessels.
  • Differential pressure transfer of cargo from one tank to another.
  • Recovery of freon, butane, propane, etc.

  • All equipment is powered by compressed air

  • Gases are recovered as condensate
  • No exhaust stack, no combustion or emissions

Specifications:

  • Compress up to 250 psi
  • PD blower will pull -12″ Hg
  • Transfer pump will move 30 gpm
  • Fail close emergency safety valves shut manually or in case of fire

Other equipment:

  • 150′ of 2″ SS hose, w/3.25″ LP connectors
  • 100′ of 3″ SS hose, w/3″ ANSI 150 floating flanges
  • Spare air powered LP transfer pumps, 2″ & 1.5″
